In photography lines are important for photos because it leads all the little things up to the main subject.

I used lines by using the white line and all the little bumps on the concrete to lead up to the basketball subject.

This photo was for texture and emphasis.

Photographers use texture a lot in there photos to give the viewers a sense of touch and feel or give a idea of where they are. Texture can bring interest to the subjects and the overall photograph.

I used texture to pop out the snow and give it a cold rough and wet feel. I also used texture by emphasizing the leaf, showing the texture of the leaf and the lines throughout.

I used pattern and repetition.

In photos pattern is very important to create a on going scene and create a cool repeating photo.

I used pattern by using four chicks and put them in a line to create a colorful pattern that viewers get focused to. Color helped me to create an interesting pattern.

Dice.

In this one I did it for shape and contrast.

photographers often use shape to create different sense of space and visual interest it can make a very unique photo for the viewer to look at.

I used shape in this photo by having the dice in some what random places but the little circles on them create a cool visual shaped pattern and having a lot of space in the background.

Blue glass

In this one I did shape and balance.

Balance is a key part of photography because it creates stability when you repeat the same shapes, it draws attention towards the main subject.

I used balance in this photo by stacking glass containers and repeating the same shape, so there is equal weight and it feels like a whole.

Dominos

For this photo I did pattern, space and repetition.

It is very important for some photos to have a good pattern because it creates a good visual interest by repeating shapes or certain colors to make it stand out from the rest of them, and makes a very engaging photo and there is lots to look at.

I used pattern by having the dominos lined up straight and having certain bright colors pop out, while having the backdrop all black to show off the bright white and cool colors. also having the background blurred out to really show what the main subject of the photo is while still maintaining space.
